The leaves can be steeped to make a soothing tea which can give relief for stomach aches, diarrhoea, fever, and headaches. The leaves can also be applied externally as a poultice or as diluted essential oil to ease pain and arthritis. It can also be used for the treatment of fungal infections such as tinea or ringworm.
