Our Values

Environmental sustainability is at the core of everything we do. We seek to ensure our health and that of our planet.

Earth friendly

All our plants are grown organically - we never use chemical sprays or fertilisers. We use our own home-grown compost and liquid fertilisers to bring vitality and life to the soil which in turn provides nutrients for our plants. We practise slow gardening, which is a mindful, active approach to growing plants that emphasises savouring the process, appreciating the natural rhythms of the seasons, and focusing on personal and environmental wellbeing. As such, we only use hand tools as this fosters mindfulness and sustainability by reducing noise pollution and energy consumption.

All natural

All our skincare products are made from 100% natural, organic ingredients either grown on site or using raw materials that are ethically sourced. Our herbs are harvested at their peak when they are full of volatile oils and potency to achieve the best possible results. The plants are harvested by hand and dried on racks in our purposely built drying shed. This ensures, the colour, potency and constituents of the herbs are retained. The herbs are then used in our various products which are handcrafted in small batches on our premises.

Sustainable packaging

Our herb products are packaged using sustainable materials that align with our commitment to the health of people and the planet. In considering our packaging we look to a closed loop system that considers the entire lifecycle of the packaging. This means that once the product is used, the packaging can be reused, recycled, or composted.

Our herb plants are grown in coir pots which are manufactured from organic coconut fibre (extracted from the outer layer of the nut) and natural latex as the bonding agent. Coir pots are biodegradable so your plants can be placed directly into the soil without having to remove them from the pot. This reduces transplant shock and waste as the pots transform into organic matter on decomposing. In an effort to reduce our carbon emissions even further, we are currently looking at replacing the coir pots with a paper pulp based product made in New Zealand.
